Attitudes of Nurses Towards Patient Safety Culture and the Factors Affecting Patient Safety: Descriptive Research

Objective: Patient safety, refers to all of measures taken by health professionals working in institutions prevent the individuals from being harmed care delivery services.It was conducted determine extent which nurses a university hospital perceive patient safety culture and identify factors that affect these views. Material Methods: The population consisted 140 who worked completed with 82.9% (n=116) were reached.The data collected using ''Questionnaire'' prepared socio-demographic characteristics ''Hospital Survey on Safety Culture'' developed Filiz et al. analysed SPSS 24 programme. Results: It found 33.6% (n=39) between ages 18-25, 90.5% (n=115) female, 54.3% (n=63) married, 73.3% (n=85) vocational high school/associate degree graduates, 31% (n=36) had less than 5 years professional experience, 28.4% (n=33) them experience 17-27 years, 65.5% (n=76) institution. Nurses' perceptions good, 3.75±0.55 (75 out 100), while ratings excellentin 44.8% (n=52) very good 47.4% (n=55). Conclusion: In this study, it concluded perception levels greater those aged 34-41 an undergraduate or higher degree, implying more important groups.
